Mrs Bandaranaike was a special guest at the session of the International Labour Organisation, held in the International Women’s Year, and devoted to the role of women in human progress. Delivering the keynote address at the General Assembly, she called for renewed commitment in working towards the progress of peace, justice and equality.During her stay in Switzerland, Mrs Bandaranaike also addressed the Group of 77.
